Scripture

Haggai 1:7-10

7 “Thus says the LORD of hosts: Consider your ways.
8 Go up to the hills and bring wood and build the house, that I may take pleasure in it and that I may be glorified, says the LORD.
9 You looked for much, and behold, it came to little. And
when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why? declares the LORD of hosts. Because of my house that lies in ruins,
while each of you busies himself with his own house.

1 Peter 4:17

17 For it is time for judgment to begin at the household
of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome
for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

Isaiah 5:1-4

1 Let me sing for my beloved
 my love song concerning his vineyard:
My beloved had a vineyard
 on a very fertile hill.
2 He dug it and cleared it of stones,
 and planted it with choice vines;
he built a watchtower in the midst of it,
 and hewed out a wine vat in it;
and he looked for it to yield grapes,
 but it yielded wild grapes.

3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem
 and men of Judah,
judge between me and my vineyard.
4 What more was there to do for my vineyard,
 that I have not done in it?
When I looked for it to yield grapes,
 why did it yield wild grapes?

Jeremiah 2:12-13

12 Be appalled, O heavens, at this;
    be shocked, be utterly desolate,
declares the LORD,
13 for my people have committed two evils:
they have forsaken me,
    the fountain of living waters,
and hewed out cisterns for themselves,
    broken cisterns that can hold no water...

John 15:4-6

4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear
fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can
you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the
branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is
that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do
nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown
away like a branch and withers; and the branches are
gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.

Joel 2:10-18, 25, 32

10 The earth quakes before them;
 the heavens tremble.
The sun and the moon are darkened,
 and the stars withdraw their shining.
11 The LORD utters his voice
 before his army,
for his camp is exceedingly great;
 he who executes his word is powerful.
For the day of the LORD is great and very
awesome;
 who can endure it?
12 “Yet even now,” declares the LORD,
 “return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;
13 and rend your hearts and not your
garments.
Return to the LORD your God,
 for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
 and he relents over disaster.
14 Who knows whether he will not turn and
relent,
 and leave a blessing behind him,
a grain offering and a drink offering
 for the LORD your God?
15 Blow the trumpet in Zion;
 consecrate a fast;
call a solemn assembly;

16 gather the people.
Consecrate the congregation;
 assemble the elders;
gather the children,
 even nursing infants.
Let the bridegroom leave his room,
 and the bride her chamber.
17 Between the vestibule and the altar
 let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep
and say, “Spare your people, O LORD,
 and make not your heritage a reproach,
 a byword among the nations.
Why should they say among the peoples,
 ‘Where is their God?’”
18 Then the LORD became jealous for his land
 and had pity on his people.

25 I will restore to you the years
 that the swarming locust has eaten,
the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter,
 my great army, which I sent among you.

32 And it shall come to pass that everyone who
calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved. For
in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be
those who escape, as the LORD has said, and
among the survivors shall be those whom
the LORD calls.

Asleep in the Light

One of the most convicting songs I have ever heard that accurately described my heart, as well as many of those who proclaim the name of Christ.

Your Love Broke Through

This documentary of Keith Green is such a blessing, as it shows his deep, sold-out, unashamed love for Jesus.
