The Vision

There are 2 paths before the Church in America right now: the path of blessing or curse. We can either go God's way or the way of the world, but the time of decision is upon us. We have to choose this day who we will serve. Do we see the condition of the Church right now? Examine the fruits. Is the Church a bright, shining light that has 30, 60, 100 fold fruit? Isn't this what we should see? Why don't we see the Church exploding as in the book of Acts?

3 Then the word of the LORD came by Haggai the prophet, saying: 4 Is it time for you yourselves to live in paneled houses, while this house lies in ruins? 5 Now, therefore, thus says the LORD of Hosts: Consider your ways. 6 You have sown much, and harvested little. You eat, but you do not have enough; you drink, but you are not filled with drink; you clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; and he who earns wages earns wages to put them into a bag with holes. 7 Thus says the LORD of Hosts: Consider your ways.

Haggai

Sown much, harvested little. Not filled. Can we not see that this is the spiritual state of the Church in America right now? Why?

9 You looked for much, and it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why? says the LORD of Hosts. Because of My house that lies in ruins while each of you runs to his own house.

Haggai

The LORD's house lies in ruins. This has been the condition of the Church for far too long, where we have been focused on our individual homes, individual "churches", our "churches". We have been in this condition for so long, we have fallen asleep, and are not even aware of the disaster coming upon us because of our own sin...

15 Blow the ram’s horn in Zion, consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly. 16 Gather the people, consecrate the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children and those nursing at the breast; let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber. 17 Between the temple porch and the altar, let the priests, ministers of the Lord, weep and say, “Have pity upon Your people, and do not make Your heritage a disgrace, a mockery among the nations. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’ ”

Joel 2

This is what the LORD is saying to the Church right now. He who has ears to hear - let him hear! We must fast and pray and seek the LORD together with this kind of urgency and conviction...

Cry aloud, do not hold back; lift up your voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression…

Isaiah 58

11 Has a nation changed its gods, even though they are no gods? But my people have changed their glory for that which does not profit. 12 Be appalled, O heavens, at this; be shocked, be utterly desolate, declares the Lord, 13 for my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed out cisterns for themselves, broken cisterns that can hold no water.

Jeremiah 2 (ESV)

The vision is that we are at the water's edge. As Israel was at the edge of the Jordan river, so is the Church in America. If we need revival in the Church, it will never come without repentance. We must see how we have individually and corporately (as churches/congregations) mixed ourselves with the world, and not just in trivial ways and not just random individuals, but in core ways, such as the internal structure/government (having unbiblical hierarchies like the Lord detests- see Matt 23 and Rev 2:6), the operation/function (including oppression of free speech in the weekly assemblies- 1 Cor 14), and in outward display/testimony to the world (namely our factions and divisions as condemned by the Lord- John 17, 13:34-35, Gal 5:19-21) The time of ignorance is over. The Lord will not tolerate this continued evil in what we claim to be His houses of worship. We can either cross the Jordan with LORD and enter the place of both battle and blessing according to His promise, or go backward and be forgotten as any kind of representation or dwelling place for His Name.

Jeremiah 7:23-24

12 Yet even now, declares the Lord, return to Me with all your heart, and with fasting and with weeping and with mourning. 13 Rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and He relents from punishing. 14 Who knows? He might turn aside and relent, and He might leave behind a blessing...

Joel 2

This is the Word that the LORD has impressed upon us: that we must urgently fast and pray, not individually or according to our schedules, but right now as the Church, the body of Christ, and wait to see what He reveals to us in each congregation...

What we see is no more delay, and no more neutral, "easy Christianity"- no more middle ground of washing our hands in silence and neither being hot or cold- but rather having to choose between extreme obedience (again, both individually and as true united churches in every city), resulting in both persecution and real fruitfulness (even another great awakening and "Jesus Revolution", with thousands following us into the water's edge to be baptized...), or choosing even more complacency and disobedience and compromise with the world and the forces of darkness, resulting in even more darkness, corruption, and confusion in those camps, which ultimately leads to such horrors as those experienced by the churches of Germany who went along with the Nazi government of their day...

See, today I have set before you life and prosperity, and death and disaster.

Oh Lord, open our eyes to see and be diligent to obey what You reveal (Is 42:20)! May we seek the LORD while He may be found... (Is 55:6)
